Summary/Abstract: This essay represents the introductory part of the hook under the title Philosophy in the twentieth Century in which the presuppositions on which the philosophy of the twentieth century has developed were presented in a very synthetic manner. The significant feature of this philosophy is its self-confidence increase — philosophers were seriously interested in the goals of their activities and the best methods in conducting the same.
