Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses the international protection of intellectual property rights. Analyses points out the diversity in regulations at the international level and inform us of the most important conventions in the field of intellectual property rights. It presents the chronology, from Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property to Agreement on Trade- Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights and necessity to define intellectual property and intellectual property rights.
