Comparative analysis of human rights in Islam and in the west

Summary/Abstract: Today, human rights have become the political means of Western civilization to exert pressure on countries because of their independent politics or religious diversity. The West, without taking into account the basic concepts of cultural elitism, nor the autochthonous values and norms of the nations, accepts only and the only self-definition of human rights. Of course, the general political principles of human rights such as the right to determine one's own destiny (the right to life worthy of man, the right to freedom, the right to safety, the protection from every kind of harassment, maltreatment and oppression and the prohibition of any kind of activity that violates the dignity of another man) are common and can not be violated by referring to cultural elitism. The work aims at treating human rights concepts and documents in Islam and the West and by providing them with comparative analysis to provide a basis for research and a better assessment for all those who deal with topics and comparisons of human rights. The aim of the presented work is to promote and encourage of intellectual circles to the interreligious and inter-civilization dialogue.
