Summary/Abstract: This study is amining at evaluating A2 level Writing ability based on creative writing approach of European Language Portfolio in Common European Framework. The study which has traits of quantitative and qualitative research, is carried out with the participation of italian A2 level graduate students of İzmir University of Economics. The study contains the quantitative statistical evaluation of pre-and post-test in creative writing processes which include the notions of European Language Portfolio: self assessment and portfolio assessment. with the aim of qualitative evaluation of the competence perception of A2 level writing ability of learners, A2 level writing ability of the checklist of European Language Portfolio is also applied, as pre-and post-test.Written narrative works, which are developed according to A2 level, are evaluated with Perugia University (Università per Stranieri di Perugia) A2 Writing Scale certified by ALTE. Quantitative results of the study suggest that the writing processes and the competence perception of learners became effective. Also qualitative results signify that the learners, after performing their narrative written works in A2 level, developed their linguistic competence.
