Quelques réflexions sur la dignité humaine et le « vivre ensemble » dans le contexte de la migration

Summary/Abstract: In the wider context of human dignity in Europe, one must notice that, following centuries of repression of various minorities (religious, ethnic, political etc.) most of the European states made of human dignity the flagship of their fundamental rights protection system, in a direct or indirect manner. However, one question still raises: can the human dignity serve as instrument, used by the European states, in their efforts to accommodate the migration phenomenon? Are there other tools to this end, recently introduced by the European Court of Human Rights? To these question we shall try to answer in the present article.
