Summary/Abstract: The new legal regulations predicted the obligation for archivist in registry to have a high school education, as well as their compulsory education. In the new Law on Archival Activity of the Tuzla Canton, there is an obligation for persons who are in any case responsible for the care of office and archive management in their registry must have at least the secondary level of professional education and the obligation to take a professional exam for archival activities. This obligation gives the possibility for a better and more serious approach and the relationship of the registrant's representatives to this activity at all. The existing practice of professional development, complemented by this legal obligation, will contribute to a more serious understanding of these tasks in the registry, which should lead to the advantage of these jobs in relation to others.
