Reconstruction of Slavic Ideas in the Memoir Works of Slovak Legionaires

Summary/Abstract: The study deals with the forms of the motif of Slavic cooperation during the Second World War and its reflexion in the works of representative legionary authors (J. Jesenský, J. G. Tajovský, M. Gacek). It describes the individual phases of the formation of the idea of Slavic cooperation, its political and historical transformations in the works of selected authors. It also pursue the ideological interference which influenced the tematization of the idea. It determines three important aspects of Slavicism, which are identifiable in the texts, and which are political constituents of modern statehood of Slovaks at the same time.
