Summary/Abstract: The Men by Victor Erofeev is an important voice for men’s studies. The writer originally describes social situation of a modern man. He analyzes it very precisely. In his essays he’s sometimes amusing, sometimes serious. He shows examples of men, which in world’s opinion are too weak, too sensitive, too kind. Presenting complexity of man’s soul, he focuses on emotions of men, their fears and dreams. He also denies stereotypes. Erofeev divides males into men and unyoung boys, complimenting these first and criticizing others.
