Summary/Abstract: In the late 1970s and early 80s, I undertook a project which led to the book 3 kérdés — 82 zeneszerzô (3 Questions—82 Composers), published in 1986. In that collection of interviews I put the same three questions to Hungarian composers and to some of their most distinguished colleagues in Europe, North and South America and Japan.
