Summary/Abstract: The epoch of “thaw” (1956–1968) is being analyzed in the article as the epoch of a productive mental crisis. The ‘He-conscience’ loss of its culture-forming functions doesn’t lead straight to the growth of egocentrism and compromise duplicity of 1970–1980s, but gives rise to the culture of the convergent ‘You-conscience,’ a bright example of it being Bulat Okudzhava’s poetry
