Summary/Abstract: Hungarians often say, “Hungary is a small country.” It has had little significance in modern world history, in international politics, and it has become particularly irrelevant since it was defeated in the First World War as part of the Austro- Hungarian Monarchy and later partitioned in the Treaty of Trianon (June 4, 1920), one of the last of the Paris Peace Treaties to be concluded.
