Summary/Abstract: After the World War II, new cinematography, which was built mainly on Soviet`s socialistic realism art movement, had started to develop in former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. After the fifties and Tito-Stalin split, Yugoslav cinematography, now left free of Soviet`s influence, moved on. During this period, upon last partisan film, we can distinguish stereotypical forms of depiction of the World War II in war movies, based on the dominant political paradigm. This paper aims at identifying Yugoslavia’s war movies as a medium of political propaganda.
