Summary/Abstract: The authors present 13 Roman brooches, which came out in the arcaheological excavations or belong to a private collection recently bought by the museum of Alba Iulia. The following types were identified: 1. Strongly profiled brooches (pl. I/1-2), knee brooches (pl. I/3-6, II/7), zoomorphic brooche (pl. II/8), sandal brooche (pl. II/9), T-shaped brooches with returned foot (pl. II/10/11), penannular brooche (pl. II/12) and belt brooche (pl. II/13). Most of the brooches belong to certain types already known in Dacia, but there are also new varieties unknown in the province so long, such as nr. 8, 9, 13. All the brooches were made of bronze, nr.9.being enemailed as well.
