Summary/Abstract: In the lead-up to the 2012 presidential campaign in the U.S., the Republican Party faced the challenge of formulating an attractive foreign policy agenda which would play two functions. First, it should offer a proposal competing with the concept embraced by the Barack Obama administration. Second, it should provide a vision that would help the Republicans to regain public trust and be seen as offering more accurate foreign and security policy recipes, better addressing the issues the U.S. encounters internationally.
