THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC POTENTIAL OF INSURANCE IN A VOLUNTARY PENSION FUND

Summary/Abstract: The old age pension system is at the root of the social security system as it overcomes one of the major social problems related to the maintenance of people over working age.The present paper, by using an example of insurance in a voluntary pension fund, reveals the socio-economic potential of the third pillar of a multicolumn pension insurance system. Achieving a higher income replacement ratio, resulting from insurance in a voluntary pension fund, increases the standard of living of people over working age and contributes to the reduction of poverty.
