Summary/Abstract: The article is of the conceptual nature. Irrational human behaviour deprivesthe chance of existence and development of future generations. In order to protectnature, humanity and future generations, the concepts of sustainability should beimplemented in enterprises. An important role in this project has human resourceswhich are the most important factor of any enterprise. Therefore, there is a needfor innovation in the methods of human resource management. The introductioncontains the objectives of the article and presents research methods that enabledthe achievement of the aims. The first part of the article explains the essence andimportance of sustainable development and covers the definitions and concepts ofsustainable development by individual authors. The three stages of employing anemployee are listed. The final part of the study presents the concept of creatingsustainable staff members. It indicates, among other things, the role of managers increating sustainable workforce. The ways and methods of transforming personnelin sustainable human resources are presented.
