Summary/Abstract: The launch of the national cultural and scientific project ROMANIAN LEGAL ENCYCLOPEDIA represents a milestone in the development of romanian science and legal culture and its realization will be a highlight and a fundamental mark in the making of post-modern romanian law. The paper proposes an integrated vision of the content of the terms and concepts presented in the sense that, conceptually, the elements of national, union-European and international law are complementary, their meanings intertwine to give a new result, irreducible to first, with various facets and higher valence. ERL bears in itself a strong symbolic meaning. It is a post-modern legal system, Western-style, after 150 years of development and, at the same time, a mark for identifying a legal culture rooted to traditions and open to the horizon of globalization.
