National Police Information System supporting the fight against corruption

Summary/Abstract: This article presents the principles of functioning of the National Police Information System supporting the fight against crime and corruption. This system has been working in the Police for over a dozen years. The purpose of the system is toprovide police officers with access to data about wanted persons, criminals, crimes, traffic offenses, legitimates, addresses. The system allows for the preparation of many statistics that are used by the Police to develop strategic assumptions for public safety. The system facilitates activities related to the fight against corruption. The types ofdata collected in the National Police Information System will be presented later in the article. Data from the system is made available to other services to coordinate and coordinate activities for the implementation of joint ventures to improve public safety. The article defines public safety.
