Innovative small and medium-sized enterprises with foreign capital in the Lublin province

Summary/Abstract: In the article, the authors present the results of surveys conducted among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with foreign capital from the Lublin province, verifying the hypothesis if the foreign capital is conducive to companies' innovativeness. In the first part of the paper authors refer to selected theoretical issues concerning enterprise's innovativeness and discuss the theoretical basis of the importance of foreign capital for innovativeness of companies, with particular emphasis on the SME sector. In the second part article the results of research focusing on the evaluation of innovative activity of the surveyed enterprises, the effects of their innovative activity and the issues of financing for this activity are presented.
