Summary/Abstract: Is obvious, infrastructure for defence represents a vital necessity for every nation in the context of actual processes of European and international integration. Provision of current security, both European and national levels, depends on the transformation generated by European economic integration, and by national economic development, and also terrorism, corruption and labor force migration of the determines new risks and threats. Therefore, the redefinition of the traditional security concept is necessary by taking into account the non-conventional risks. The mankind comes to the conclusion that the security interests and objectives of European states can be accomplished only by European and international cooperation because either state, no matter his power, cannot assure security by his one. Owed to NATO adhesion and EU integration processes, important transformation of our country strategy and the configuration of Romania's active role within the two democratic organizations on the basis of necessary resources preservation. An important objective of this strategy is the assessment of the infrastructure for security (defence), including preparing the territory, the economy, and the society in order to successfully counteract the risks and threats to European and national security (defence).
