Summary/Abstract: This article aims to approach the concept of power and how it has evolved and changed as a result of the tragic events that occurred on September 11, 2001, when over the United States was initiated a terrorist attack, unprecedented in history. The text points out that the world has changed, that it is permeable to a different type of dangers and threats than classical known until that moment, a world in which international actors have become aware that they can not protect themselves without a joint effort.
