Summary/Abstract: The article is considering the influence of the Internet to facilitate social networking for planning, organizing and enhancing effects of the protests in states located in North Africa and the Middle East, the so-called Arab spring social movements phenomenon. The first part summarizes the political events in the region since the end of 2010 to the present with emphasis on social phenomena in Tunisia and Egypt, where the role of the internet has shown strongly associated actions against the population. Further, the essay analyzes the effects of network use in the correlation with the statistical distribution of users based on geographic and population layout. With this occasion are issued some assumptions on how the Internet can be considered as „enabler“ for revolts in the Arab world, given the actions and reactions of the parties involved in these street conflicts.
