Summary/Abstract: The Danube is an integration and speeding factor for the European Union extension. Northern Sea-Rhine-Main-Danube-Black Sea ensemble influences the economic development and the acceleration of the Eastern and South-Eastern European countries integration in European and Euro-Atlantic structures, as well as the integration of some new countries in international cooperation chain, depending on the framing of the adjacent to the ax areas in an economic and geostrategic circle.Control of Danube and its connection with the Black Sea mean access to markets and raw materials resources. European Union building-up process is lightening the importance of the Central and South-Eastern Europe areas. The connection of the European Union with the economic area of the BlackSea establishes a strong system of cooperation and alliances. Moving to the gravity center on Danube-Pontic ax gives a new European value: Danube security. For the second decade of this century, there is necessary that the European security is rearranged on three pillars: Euro-Atlantic, Mediterranean and Danube ones.
