Summary/Abstract: Aspects of conflicts are often overlooked: how much do they cost and which are the effects on civil society? Challenges on security and economic fronts. The appearance of this type of conflicts in different strategic areas, especially in areas like Central Asia tend to metamorphose from frozen to extended and to pose a serious threat to the regional security, populations, territory and to international security as a whole. Analyzing Nagorno-Karabakh conflict we concluded that the main triggering facts of this one are not economical because the area does not have significant natural resources nor politically because the geographic position does not allow the creation of a strong and viable state. The main facts that sustain the conflict are referring especially to the prejudices and deported historical problems.
