MILITARY HISTORY INTRINSIC PART OF THE MILITARY SCIENCE

Summary/Abstract: This paper aims at treating the role of Military History as part of the Military Science. We analyzed the components of military history: The History of Battles, Military Art History, History of Building the Armed Forces, History of Military Thought and the Military Equipment History.The paper highlights the research and investigative methods used, such as history method(chronological) and logical method. The study of Military History provides to the Military Science data and conclusions on the causes and nature of war to the basic principles of armed battle. Referring to the definition of Military History as part of Military Science, the paper considers it a “frontier science”.The subject of the Military History is studying the emergence and evolution of the armed forces, the military war as a phenomenon, drawing conclusions and lessons valuable both now and in the future.
