Summary/Abstract: In the first half of the 18th century the property belonging to the Order of the Holy Sepulchre in Miechów was divided into two parts. One part was still owned by the monastery in Miechów. The other part became a benefice, which was given by the king to his officials. The inventory written in 1731 describes this benefice. It consisted of Miechów and some nearby villages. The inventory contains interesting information about monastic economy. It depicts the countryside of Miechów and the nearby area. It also includes the names of inhabitants with the amount of tax paid to the owner of the benefice.
