Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on diachronical descriptive studies of Turkic written languages and dialects, both confrontative and contrastive. These studies, which have commenced in 11th century and increased in number from the 19th century forth, are described and reviewed here. These languages, for which we coin the term 'modern Eurasian Turkic languages', are re-described according to written dialects and sociolinguistic spoken languages.
