Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to analyse vocabulary teaching in Turkish course books, to specify the deficiencies of these books, to indicate the types of vocabulary activities in a native language course-book and to provide related suggestions. In the study 6 of the Turkish course-books that have been chosen from various levels from the 2003-2004 academic year have been anaylsed.
