Summary/Abstract: The article explores Russian major (subject-verb) sentences observing the Nnom-finiteV-Nacc-Ndat pattern in comparison with their Czech equivalents. The patterns create a 6 of various semantic structures. Each semantic structure is assigned a list of the verbs it may employ. The author concludes that the pattern show high productivity in Russian and in Czech and that both compared languages are considerably similar semantic content of verbs concerned. Such verbs are simultaneously complemented by the accusative case, without a preposition and the dative case, without a preposition, but the author also highlights some of existing differences.
