Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the increasing presence and production of energy from renewable sources(RES), which causes increasing problems with maintaining the stability of the power system. Priorities for the production of renewable energy leads to system known as „Produce and forget”, causing additional costs, such as the need to maintain large reserves of power. Followed by a reduction in production from conventional sources, and as a result, reduced time of their work, and therefore the decline in revenues and profitability of operations. This phenomenon leads to the closure of existing power plants. Further development of renewable energy sources is possible only after being subjected to regulate their production in a manner similar to other electricity producers.
