World Experience Room (Snoezelen) and Therapeutic Work with Persons with Intellectual Disability

Summary/Abstract: Snoezelen, in Poland called World Experience Room, is one of the most popular methods in the therapeutic work with persons with different kinds and degrees of disabilities, with mental disorders, chronic pains and other health issues. Snoezelen is used also by healthy people mostly in order to relax and mellow. More and more schools and educational and therapeutic, and also rehabilitation establishments, especially for persons with intellectual disability of a higher and high degree and with multiple disability, create World Experience Rooms. Taking into consideration, say the equipment of Snoezelen rooms, it can be said that this proposal fits the 21st century.
