Summary/Abstract: Since the times of the Habsburg Monarchy, a strong tradition of societies and associations has been developing in Czech society which culminated during the First Czechoslovac Republic. The Nazi occupation noticeablyrestricted such a growing trend, however, despite this, at the beginning of that period of time, several associations, which united citizens of shattered Czechoslovakia related to the Subcarpathian Rus, were established. One of them has been an organisation called The Association of Emigrants from Carpatho-Ukraine in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. It is certainly most probable that during its four month length existence in the year 1939 the association did not perform any of the objectives set in the statutes. Considering a personal structure of the association’s management, i.e. a chairman, a vice-chairman, a secretary and a member of review board, it might be supposed that it has been a society favourably disposed to the Czech environment, or as opposed to other Ukrainian emigrants, especially nationalists, it did not apparently collaborate with the Nazis as well as not participate in their crimes.
