Summary/Abstract: The economic equilibrium is not an unequivocal term. Depending on criteria used it can be analyzed in different ways. However, historically, inquiries about the market equilibrium has evolved and helped to sort out related matters. Today we can say that the economic equilibrium often treated as a theoretical model-based composition with a number of assumptions and simplifications is a state difficult to achieve and maintain. It is a kind of a trend shaped by a series of often unpredictable factors. The practice indicates the economic importance of imbalance as the driving force of growth and socioeconomic development.
