The influence of the local self-government policy in the field of competitive sport disciplines on the quality of life of Polkowice citizens, based on the example of Polkowice commune

Summary/Abstract: Sport and its correspondence to the quality of life have been so far the subject of various articles and studies, also the scientific ones. In the past 20 years, a great deal of attention has been devoted to the quality of life, which in scientific research undergoes a significant transformation, that means the change in approaching and evaluating it. Sport as a part of life is not left behind as well. A lot of researches focus on many aspects of such activity, both theoretical and practical ones. This activity is also examined according to particular criteria specified by the subject and the research itself. This article is an integral part of the study “The influence of the local self-government policy in the field of sport and recreation on the citizens’ quality of life based on example of Polkowice Commune”, that was published in the DWSPiT Research Bulletin vol. 6. Its content includes the search for the ways the competitive sport influences the commune citizens’ quality of life, the recapitulation of the discourse and the final conclusions. The whole paper is completed by the list of bibliographies, common for both articles.
