Summary/Abstract: Observing the contemporary economic situation, we can say that the majority of countries struggle with many problems arising from the need to adapt their activity to the challenges of globalization. In this context, particularly important is the issue of the impact of global processes on the functioning of countries, especially in the matter of sovereignty. The strong influence of transnational corporations, the impact of international economic organizations or the need to take the convergence criteria is one of the few factors that undoubtedly have changed the role of the state.
