In Search of the Lost Folk Quality. About the Spectacle Do DNA

Summary/Abstract: The prime intention of this text is to present Do DNA, a diploma spectacle shown by fourth-year students of the Faculty of Acting at the Ludwik Solski National Academy of Theatre Arts in Cracow. The scenario of the production, directed by Ewa Kaim, was based on folk songs collected and described by Oskar Kolberg. The author focuses on an analysis of the direction concepts and the interpretation of the cultural and anthropological tropes contained in the spectacle.
