Summary/Abstract: Mankind, since it became historical, that is, since about 4000 or 3600 BC, passed through three periods in the relation of man and earth on the one hand, and in the tendencies of social structure and politics on the other, which had been processes of the brightening of consciousness, of thought and technical seizure of conditions of life, thus civilizing. Regarding the spiritual attitude those have been completely different periods. These periods are of different length. They are of a very different character in the geographical spread and summary of historical progress and have a very different spiritual character.
