Summary/Abstract: The attack on Prague in the spring of 1939 triggered a decisive turn in the diplomatic prehistory of the Second World War. After the annexation of Austria (see issue 48), the Sudeten crisis, and the Munich agreement (see issue 49), this should be the last non-bloody conquest of the national-socialist regime. With the "fall of Poland", which led directly to the outbreak of war, this account, which is essentially based on the official file publications and the memoirs of the parties, will be concluded in the following issue.
