Conceptual Basis For Sustainable Territorial Development Programming

Summary/Abstract: The paper researches theory and methodology for development of state programmes for sustainable development. The focus is made on the distribution of powers and responsibilities for the implementation of environmental projects and schemes. Emphasis is put on specific life cycles analysis of the relationship between relevant environmental protection and economic institutions. Various aspects of regional sustainable development programmes both drafting and implementation are researched in the context of Ukraine alignment with the European Union. Problems of monitoring the effectiveness of such programmes at the regional level are considered.
