Anxiety is understood in two ways, first as a state, perceived in a specific situation, and secondly, anxiety understood as a relatively stable personality trait. The survey was conducted on a group of 149 high school students from the Mazowieckie voivodeship, Poland. The age range of the respondents was between 17 and 21 (M = 18.64, SD = 0.69). In the study used the Career Decision-Making Questionnaire (CDDQ) and the State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI). Based on the statistical analysis can be indicate statistically significant differences in the intensity of the difficulties in making career decisions in people with different levels of anxiety understood as a trait. The results suggest to pay attention to the level of anxiety understood as a trait in the process of career guidance services for people in a situation of career choices.
