Summary/Abstract: Migration is a universal phenomenon and an aspect of human activity. The complexity of this phenomenon determines its positive and negative consequences also in the context of security understood as the absence of threats. Defined as a lasting or periodic movement of individuals or groups of people from permanent residencies to other destinations, migration determines an array of events that can be considered threats to security. The article analyzes the nature and extent of the impact of migration on national security.
