Summary/Abstract: The article describes the innovative way of violin teaching – the Mother Tongue Method invented by dr Suzuki. Musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability that can be developed. Every child who is properly trained can develop musical ability just as all children develop the ability to speak their mother tongue. Principles: – every child can be taught; – learning starts on the day the child was born; – intuition is a very important basis for talent education; – never force the child to practice – human talent is developed by means of practice and repetition.
