WHERE TO TOMORROW IN A BETTER INTELLIGENCE ANALYSIS – FUTURES STUDIES AS A FACILITATOR

Summary/Abstract: We need better predictive intelligence analysis. This statement has drivenpundits and practitioners to find better ways to provide anticipative knowledge aboutfuture vulnerabilities, threats, and risks, but also about windows of opportunity topromote one countrie’s national interests.In this collective effort, futurists have managed to make a difference proposingvision, solutions, methods, and products in order to facilitate the making of betterintelligence analysis.But futures studies are not easy to study and futurists are not always right. Theycome with different names, different methodologies, complex argumentation andmultiple plausible alternatives for better decision making processes. Either way, theyprovide a framework for creatively and proactively exploring the possibilities andworking toward a safer future
