Summary/Abstract: At a strategic level, the psychological assessment of the political leader becomesprimordial for a successful intelligence service, mostly because we often view a nation'sforeign policy in terms of its leader’s personality and we know that their decisions areinfluenced by their belief system (or operational code) and motivations. This paper isfocused on shaping a connection between the operational code of Vladimir Putin and hisactions, taken in the name of Russia, managing global crises like the American invasionin Iraq, the Iranian file, the missile defence problem, and the crisis in Syria and Ukraine. This paper seeks to discover a pattern of action within the political behaviour of themost controversial leader of the moment, as well as to develop predictions, concerninghis future approaches on global issues
