Summary/Abstract: The approach assumed by this research study concerns namely thepraxeological side of public diplomacy, found at the confluence with elements of statepower, more specifically with those features characteristic to the Intelligence activity. The conceptual precariousness characterizing the field, both as an academic disciplineand an effective instrument of power, is highly emphasized. Thus, the operationalcontextualization of public diplomacy, an approach enabled by emphasizing the role ofinformation and by synthesizing a perspective specific to the Intelligence area, is anobjective to be looked for. As a result, a comparative analysis is done between these twodimensions, with a focus on the fact that they are not completely separated, and therecan be many common aspects, some of them transiting from one side to another
