THE RELIGIOUS-THEOLOGICAL BOOKS IN THE WITOLD GOMBROWICZ PROVINCIAL PUBLIC LIBRARY IN KIELCE AND THE PRESENCE OF THIS LITERATURE IN THE LIBRARY OF MAJOR SEMINARY IN KIELCE. A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS

Summary/Abstract: A comparative analysis of the religious-theological collections in two Kielce libraries: the Witold Gombrowicz Provincial Public Library and the Library of Major Seminary has been carried out. In the first library, the books in „Religion. Theology” section account for 48 titles in 55 volumes and comprise directories, monographs and bibliographies. As for their content we can distinguished general publications, books related to Christian religions and mythology. It was observed that in the collection of the Library of Major Seminary there are nearly 70% of the same books but the serials and multi- volume works are more complete. The religious and theological publications in Provincial Public Library are sufficient for lay people, however, for those who would like to broaden the knowledge is advisable to get acquainted with the literature of the seminary library.
