Summary/Abstract: The article presents a pamphlet trend in the literary critical work of Stanisław Barańczak on the example of three texts from 1967, 1975 and 1982. The author claims that each of the pamphlets discussed transgresses the dimension of a casual personal attack, instead is a result of a specific pamphlet situation. Since it emerges in the critical point for Polish literature, it initiates the urning point of the dominant aesthetics, the change of writers' attitudes and is indeed an intervention into a configuration of literature as a whole of historical-literary character. By attacking the poetry of Iłłakowiczówna (1967) Barańczak anticipates the emergence of a New Wave programme of poetry which was distrustful and engaged; in a pamphlet on Bryll (1975) he formulates through negation the ethical basis of new ethos of independent literature of the 1970s.; while unmasking the critical writings of Sandauer (1982), he joins the poetics of moral play, the diagnosis of collaborative attitudes of the writers in the times of the Martial Law in Poland.
