Controversies over Human Subjectivity – an Attempt at Analysis

Summary/Abstract: These deliberations focus on building the feeling of subjectivity in pupils in contemporary school. Though there are plenty of all kinds of analyses on our publishing market, critical outlooks showing decline of subjectivity of pupils are scarce. The issue has become a very fashionable catchword, declaring all kinds of projects aiding the abovementioned subjectivity. However, everyday practice qualifies to make speculations about the deteriorating state of experiencing subjectivity. The authoress makes an attempt at indicating but a few sources of building subjectivity and difficulties encountered by both, teachers and pupils. Contemporary European education poses definite requirements in this respect, hence actions aimed at revival of the phenomenon in Polish schools should be organized as soon as possible.
