Summary/Abstract: The Ekran journal, published in the period 1996–2009 in Sofia, was emblematic of the period of political changes after 1989. It was the longest-running periodical specialised in film in these decades. The article traces out its history, focusing on how it covered the developments in Bulgarian film industry.
