Summary/Abstract: This article aims to throw light on the trilateral diplomatic and economic relationship between Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iran in the post-Cold War era. The three countries have managed to build up a sustainable rapport over the years despite the unveiling of serious political matters such as the Nagorno-Karabakh problem, the status of the Caspian Sea and the disagreements on some Middle Eastern issues. The economic ties which play an indispensable role on the consolidation and development of the political association between Baku, Tehran and Ankara have yet to improve further set aside some regional transportation projects which came into existence within the confines of the Economic Cooperation Organization along with prospective energy and investment initiatives.
